Trim Levels and Options

Diesel-powered TDI models are available in 3 trims, while gasoline-powered models come in five levels of trim.

• Gasoline-engine Models Gas-powered base 2015 Volkswagen Jetta models have a 2.0L gas engine paired with a manual 5-speed transmission. This model gets 15” steel wheels, adjustable front seats and steering wheel, power windows, 40/60 folding back seat, cloth upholstery and 4-speaker CD audio. S models adds cruise control, A/C, powered/heated side mirrors, keyless entry, CD-radio w/4” screen, trip computer, power door locks, Bluetooth audio/phone connectivity, 40/60-split-folding back seat, and option for the automatic transmission. An optional Technology Package adds keyless remote, rearview camera, and premium 6.5” touch w/satellite radio and more speakers. With the SE model, you get a 1.8L engine, heated front seats, 16” alloys, iPod adapter, and satellite radio. Other features, as part of packages, include body-colored exterior mirrors, chrome outside trim, leatherette upholstery, sunroof, rearview camera, heated washer nozzles, unique 16” alloys, Volkswagen Car-Net telematics, leather on the steering wheel, trunk pass-through, navigation, keyless entry/start, fog lights, automatic wipers and a larger touchscreen with the voice command navigation system. Sport models of the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta get most of the above features, 17” alloys, rear spoiler, upgraded audio, special stitching throughout the cabin, heated front seats, and a suspension tuned for sport. The SEL model has many of those features, as well as a soft-surface dash, Fender 8-speaker premium audio and a 6-way powered seat for the driver.
• Diesel-engine ModelsSEL, SE w/Connectivity, and S models of the TDI versions get the same basic equipment as their gas counterparts, but have the 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine.
• Optional PackagesThe Safety Package for gas-powered SE with Connectivity & Navigation and SEL models add rear parking sensors, forward-collision warning and blind-spot monitoring. The Lighting Package, for gas-powered 2015 Volkswagen Jetta (not the base and S trims) add LED running lights, upgraded gauges, xenon headlights and ambient interior lighting. TDI SEL models have the Safety and Lighting Packages in one package.

Engines and Mileage

• Base and S 2015 Volkswagen Jetta models come with a 2.0L I-4 engine that makes 115 horsepower for 125 ft-lbs of torque. While a manual 5-speed transmission is standard, an automatic 6-speed is an option. Manual models see 31 city/46 hwy/36 combined, while automatic models see 31 city/45 hwy/36 combined.
• SEL and SE models get a more powerful 1.8L I-4 turbocharged engine that makes 170 horsepower for 184 ft-lbs of torque. Transmission choices vary by trim and package options. Fuel numbers for the manual transmission are 25 city/37 hwy/29 combined, while the automatics get 25 city/37 hwy and 30 combined.
• TDI models features a 2.0L turbocharged I-4 diesel engine that makes 150 horsepower for 236 ft-lbs of torque. The standard transmission is a manual 6-speed, while the optional DSG automated-manual 6-speed is highly recommended. The DSG offers 24 city/32 hwy/27 combined, and the manual-equipped models see 23 city/33 hwy/26 combined.
